4801-NT Custom Noise Tool

The Custom Noise Tool is a software application specifically designed to work with Telebyte’s Model 4801 Universal xDSL Noise/Interference Simulator. This user-friendly application generates impairment models common to DSL network implementations and greatly expands the noises available beyond the current 4801 libraries. The Custom Noise Tool allows for expedient development of impairment noise files that can be exported to our Model 4801 for injection into a local loop simulator. The user can simulate a wide variety of crosstalk scenarios and noise characteristic combinations for testing any flavor of DSL as well as user-specific configurations.

Main Features:

· Create a wide variety of noise combinations
· Crest factor of at least 5
· High degree of accuracy
· Select from common crosstalk types such as ADSL, SHDSL and VDSL
· North American and European units of measure
· Specify NEXT, FEXT and number of disturbers
· Add in RFI and AWGN (at variable levels)
· Specify impedance, sampling rate and DUT location
· Graphical representation of PSDs, waveforms, custom loops and system configurations
· Use custom Loop Tool to define length, wire type, bridged taps
